More fun than work…

My Pilates sessions with Heide Zufall are more fun than work. Because her approach to training is traditional and disciplined, yet modern and varied, the sessions are never boring or routine. As a result of her careful watchful, instruction my balance, core strength, energy level and overall conditioning have improved significantly!

Pilates is fun. I like working with the exercise balls and on the cadillac and reformer. I really like Nancy and Bonnie (and seeing Bonnie’s cats), and I feel stronger because of Pilates.

Didn’t walk until she was 27 months…

Marina was born with very low muscle tone. She didn’t crawl until she was nearly 19 months and she didn’t walk until she was 27 months. Her entire life has included some form of physical therapy, but when it became apparent that she still had weak core muscles (and didn’t really understand how her body worked), we turned to Pilates. The results have been amazing. She is stronger, more coordinated, and more sure of her physical abilities. Thank you Bonnie and Nancy!

When I learned that I had osteoporosis…

I particularly appreciate the care Bonnie takes to tailor the sessions to my ability and needs, always with an eye to how she can help me improve. Keeps the sessions fun yet challenging…

Kristen is a great instructor…in just a few short weeks, I have learned new techniques to improve upon routines I have been doing for years. A different eye and approach, along with a friendly and motivating personality, keeps the sessions fun yet challenging. Kristen has also shared ideas on how to use movements learned during class in everyday life, such as waiting in line or sitting at desk, reinforcing the idea that pilates can be beneficial everywhere!

Bonnie’s amazingly in-depth knowledge and experience as a Pilates instructor and her caring involvement in my progress has been an incredible support to me over the last two years. Jenny is a delight to work with, warm and patient, always cheerful and responsive if i have any questions. She has a very good eye for details. She remembers the small things I tell her about where I’ve pulled a muscle or am having some other problem that we need to work around. She is a hard worker and serious about getting the best results for me. I can tell she spends time outside our sessions learning new skills and approaches.

I am a senior so there are a lot of things I can’t do as well as someone younger and more fit. Jenny is great about coming up with solutions or a different approach. She is also very good at helping me keep focused on the right muscle group as I’m working and I’ve found this especially helpful.

Nancy is an excellent teacher who begins instruction at a learner’s level and moves forward. That is important for a beginner like me. Nancy is patient and encouraging, and somehow knows when I can work just a little harder. She not only provides detailed verbal instruction and demonstration, she uses precise terminology. I leave each session feeling successful and with a better understanding of Pilates’ benefits to my well being.

Keeps me interested and enthusiastic…

I am living proof that pilates should be a cornerstone of any fitness program! Having practiced pilates for 10 years, I still find that at every session I learn something new and improve upon some move I thought I had down pat. That is one of the aspects of pilates that keeps me interested and enthusiastic. Bonnie was one of my early instructors when I ‘graduated’ to advanced mat. I’ve followed her from that original studio to another studio and finally to her own studio. Along the way I have had the opportunity to learn from many instructors, which I enjoy. Any ability I have is due in no small part to their tutelage.

We decided for my daughter Alecia, a 16 year old high level ice skater, to take pilates primarily to train and transition her from physical therapy back to the ice. I came upon Bodies by Bonnie and feel like one of those lucky ones finding a needle in a haystack. Extremely knowledgeable Pilates instructors who took the TIME to customize a routine that was appropriate for a novice like me.

My name is Janet I’m an RN of 37 years with a few back issues and was told Pilates, Pilates, Pilates!!!! So I came upon Bodies by Bonnie and feel like one of those lucky ones finding a needle in a haystack. Sorry Bonnie you are not a needle but an extremely knowledgeable Pilates instructor who took the TIME to customize a routine that was appropriate for a novice like me. You soon matched me up with another incredible instructor NANCY GRAY, who also took the TIME to make sure I understood the mechanics and anatomy of Pilates to strengthen my body from head to toe (literally)!

They both coordinated and shared my Physical Therapy routine, Doctors opinions and diagnoses along with their own personal assessments to make sure everything and everyone was on the same page. NANCY and BONNIE both took the TIME to also understand my learning style so I could understand this new type of exercise that I knew nothing about !! Homework was even emailed to me to summarize what they had just taught me so I could practice at home.I came to class and they always wanted to know how I was feeling so they could make adjustments as needed. BODIES BY BONNIE is professional,clean and a great place to learn or expand your knowledge about PILATES.
