About Terry
Terry, A graduate of GWU, while working as a CT and MRI technologist, strained her back moving patients. Lifelong running and weight lifting was no longer keeping her in top physical form to perform her job responsibilities. Her research led her to Pilates. Pilates corrected her back pain and she became a certified Peak Pilates instructor in 2014. She has worked at many studios in the area and at one point had her own corporate program.
Terry continues to enhance her professional training with participation in workshops, seminars, and practice. While classically trained, she has worked with different styles, learning different modifications and ways to perform exercises.
Terry loves the way Pilates strengthens and stretches the body and the mind, while safely challenging the muscles as it protects the joints. Functional movement becomes safer and more comfortable for every age and ability.
